It’s hard to reconcile a “Stout” that presents with this color, but we’re ready, willing, and able to take the dive and explore this strange life event. And to channel our inner Dave Niehaus, MY-OH-MY are we glad we did (that’s a nod to the Mariners actually winning today).
This beer just screams of peanut butter right from the cracking of the growler that The Bearded Gentleman so kindly provided for us. Deagle remarked that it smelled like “peanut butter crunch!” The body is relatively thin but the flavor is anything but. Solid, roasty peanut butter boasts throughout from start to finish, and it’s delicious.
The “latte” portion is a bit misleading, to be sure, but that isn’t worth holding against this fine beer. While the level of coffee is akin to that light scent of espresso you get as you walk out of a coffee house with a gale wind blowing into your face, it still has plenty of character to make this a new Manday favorite.
