Manday Monday is not much of a wine drinkers site, as you have noticed. This is, in fact, the first wine ever reviewed on the Manday platform. But in exchange for the excuse of, “Oh, I need to buy this [insert beer or cigar] to review it for MandayMonday.com!” the ladies say, “Only if you put wine on there, too.” So occasionally we’ll have to break, and this is one of those times.
This little bottle of white stuff is a Chardonnay that comes from the mighty wine cellar of Costco. A case brought this puppy down to just about $3 a bottle. Now, granted, in the $3-and-under range you’re expecting such mammoth tastes as brought to you by the famed Two Buck Chuck, but this ain’t so bad, either.
This Meridian Chardonnay brings you floral notes with ample sweetness. It’s a drier finish but not out of character, and would fit just fine for your next barbecue or semi-celebratory event. This isn’t going to win any awards but you won’t be embarrassed pouring it into the glass of a good friend.
